The pressure on independent trade unions continues at the state enterprise Hrodna Azot. In the last several days, at least seven employees have been detained.
“Yesterday saw detention of my deputy Valyantsin Taranevich, and today his wife was detained at work for some investigative activities,” Andrei Khanevich, chairman of the primary organization of the Hrodna Azot Independent Trade Union, told Salidarnasts.
According to the strike committee’s telegram channel reports, Ryhor Ruban, repair foreman of the Ammonia-3 shop, Dzmitry Ilushchanka, shift foreman of the same shop, and Alyaksei Sidar, pump operator of the Ammonia-2 shop, were also detained on strike.
The day before, two more members of the strike committee Andrei Paherila and Uladzimir Zhurauka, were detained.
