Military observers arrive in Belarus to monitor drill


Representatives of Latvian and Lithuanian armed forces have arrived in Belarus to monitor the Belarusian-Russian exercises “Union Resolve -2022,” reports the Belarus Defense Ministry.

On February 18, foreign military observers were briefed on the exercise. On February 19, they will visit the Abuz-Lyasnouski training ground, where they will be able to observe the activities develop.

It is reported that Belarus invited military observers voluntarily, “based on the desire to develop cooperation and good neighborliness.”

On February 19, 20 military attachés representing 16 countries watched the final actions of troops in the joint exercises “Union Resolve 2022”.

Representatives from the military departments of Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United States, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine visited the Abuz-Lyasnouski training ground.
