Belarus offers Elon Musk to build Tesla plant in Minsk

Head of the Belarusian-Chinese industrial park “Great Stone,” Alyaksandr Yarashenka, has voiced his proposal to the American entrepreneur on the air of the TV channel “Belarus 1.”

“I’ve heard that Elon Musk is considering the site in Russia. I want to take this opportunity to offer to place such a factory for the production of electric cars in the “Great Stone” park. Why not?” Yarashenka said. “Yes, it may be a fanaticism in a sense. But it’s a promising fantasy.”

Yarashenka believes that “any project of any country in the world can consider this site as a realization of their most delusional investment projects.”

On May 21 of this year, Elon Musk said that Tesla might soon come to the Russian market by creating its own production. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation invited Musk to Moscow to discuss this issue.

In 2019, Alyaksandr Lukashenka assured that he had a Tesla electric car in his possession, which Elon Musk himself gave him as a gift. The American businessman later denied this statement.
