Woman fined for wearing white and red colors on Freedom Day


Iryna Byankouskaia, 42, was detained on 25 March. The woman was taken to Kastrychnitski District Police Department, where police filed a report under Article 24.23 of the Administrative Code for picketing. As a result, Iryna was fined 90 basic units (2,610 rubles), reports Telegram-channel “Viasna watching.”

Iryna Byankouskaia was detained on March 25, and police filed a protocol under Article 24.34 of the Administrative Code for picketing. Later, the 42-year-old Minsk resident was released.

On 12 April, she was summoned to court. Judge Volha Naborskaya found the woman guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 2,610 Belarusian rubles (90 basic units).
