Brest paratroopers fly to Russia to practice peacekeeping operations

Soldiers of the 38th Airborne Assault Brigade (Brest) have gone to exercises in Ulyanovsk, reported the Defense Ministry.

The exercises started yesterday and will end on March 20. They will be led by the deputy head of the Russian Airborne Troops.

Belarusian and Russian paratroopers will work out the preparation and conduct of joint peacekeeping operations.

Earlier the organization ByPol reported that contractors for the contingent in Syria are recruited among the Belarusian Special Operations Forces. Its estimated strength is 600 people, although there is only one peacekeeping company in Belarus.

The 38th brigade is part of the Special Operations Forces.
