The Belarusian authorities are going to pull the plug on the non-governmental organisation Radzislava, human rights centre Viasna reports.

According to human rights activists, the Department of Financial Investigations of the Belarusian State Control Committee sent a proposal to the Minsk City Executive Committee to liquidate the public association Radzislava.

Radzislava was established in 2002 in Minsk; their major goal was providing assistance to female victims of violence.

The organisation supports women and their children who have been abused; trains specialists from various agencies and NGOs who work with victims, their relatives, or abusers; conducts preventive talks with young people about the inadmissibility of violence and so on.
