Local deputy speaks in favor of close union with Russia with single currency and army

Member of the regional council of deputies from Khutaranka electoral district #11 Oganess Avazbalian, who has become a delegate to the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, said he would raise the issue of integration with Russia. In an interview to the local newspaper “Holas Vetkaushchyny,” he said he was ready to see Belarus and Russia as a single state with a single currency and single army.
A Vetka deputy Oganess Avazbalian, who has become a delegate to the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, said that the delegates will discuss deeper integration with Russia, while the so-called Union State will be enshrined in the new Constitution. According to him, the integration with Russia should improve the well-being of the brotherly peoples.
