Russian MP wants to erase Grebenshchikov and Makarevich from the history of Russia

Russian political leadership has been outraged by Russian rocker meeting with the current governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili.

Boris Grebenshchikov visited the former head of Georgia after his concert in Kyiv.

The Kremlin, which calls Mr Saakashvili an “enemy of Russia who was the blood of Russian citizens and soldiers on his hands”, considers it an act of betrayal. In fact, this was an opinion stated in an interview with radio station Govorit Moskva by an MP Alexey Zhuravlev. He was confident that Ukraine is thus waging an ideological war against Russia:

“The only thing that can be said here: Boris, you are wrong. I am afraid that both rock and roll and Boris have dies for our viewers. But it’s his choice. If you want to get into politics, it’s a tough thing. Be prepared for the fact that not everyone there wears white gloves. I think he’ll get punished for this.”

The MP warned that support of Ukraine will erase popular artists from the history of Russia.

Open aggression of Russian troops in Ukraine has been denounced by a number of famous musicians, actors and artists, among whom are Zemfira, Andrei Makarevich, Vyacheslav Butusov, Yuri Shevchuk, Maxim Leonidov, Liya Akhedzhakova, Valentin Gaft, Eldar Ryazanov, Boris Akunin, Viktor Shenderovich, Artemy Troitsky and many others.
