Belarusian House officially registered in Prague

The interior ministry of the Czech Republic has granted state registration to the Belarusian House in Prague. The Belarusian House is now able to establish official contacts and cooperate with Czech governmental agencies, the city authorities and local NGOs.
The decision to establish the Belarusian House was made in November 2012 during the first-ever meeting of Belarusian organizations based in the Czech Republic, representatives of the Association for Modernization, which is led by former presidential candidate Ales Mikhalevich, Razam, Nash Dom, Pahonya, the Adradzhenne Belarusian Forum in Prague and the Belarusian Hostel in Prague, as well as representatives of the Czech foreign ministry and the Czech Republic’s People in Need Foundation being participants.
The Belarusian House is expected to be an alternative to the Belarusian Embassy in Prague and act as a human rights and information center for Belarusians in the Czech Republic.
