Visa-free travel with China to start on August 10

Ambassador of Belarus to China, Kiryl Rudy, wrote this in his “Twitter”.

The agreement on mutual visa-free regime for holders of ordinary passports for up to 30 days was signed on June 10 in Qingdao. The document was the result of negotiations between Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Chinese President Xi Jin Ping. The Belarusian part of the agreement was signed by Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei.

According to experts, the introduction of a visa-free regime is primarily due to the expectation of the inflow of potential Chinese investors to Belarus.

Belarusian-Chinese industrial park has increased 4-fold.

Perhaps a 30-day visa-free travel regime with China will be an excellent opportunity for Chinese tourists to visit our country. Their number is slowly but constantly growing. In 2012, 314 people came to Belarus as part of organized tourist groups, the year before last it was 1,579.

At the end of June, the head of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Siarhey Kavalchuk, said that it would be advisable to increase visa-free travel for citizens of 80 countries for up to 20 days.
