Ukraine’s Security Service: Up to 6,000 Russian regular troops stationed in Donbas

About 4,000 – 6,000 regular servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, who mostly hold leading posts in the subdivisions of first and second army corps, are permanently stationed in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrainian Security Service Chairman Vasyl Hrytsak said.

“This number in Ukraine is not static. It varies, but we constantly register from 4,000 to 6,000 Russian regular servicemen,” the SBU chief told journalists at a press conference.

Besides, the Russian military alignment of around 50,000 militants is deployed in the Russian territories bordering on Ukraine.
