Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that from August 6 begins the destruction of the banned products imported into Russia from the European Union, apostrophe.com.ua reports.

On August 4, the first batch of banned products – six trucks of pork, which were detained in April – was destroyed in Samara.

The Russians are unhappy with this decision of Putin and are collecting signatures to cancel the decree on the destruction of food and to adopt a law on the donation of food to people in need.

Today came the news about a stolen truck with “banned tomatoes”, previously detained in the Russian Federation. The driver decided to escape with the vegetables to the territory of Belarus.

Meanwhile, the Russian ruble keeps falling. On August 6, at the Moscow stock exchange 1 euro cost more than 70 Russian rubles. On July 31, 1 euro was still about 66 Russian rubles.
