Russia's recession almost over -- Putin

The Russian leader said that the country’s economy had adapted to new conditions.

“We have almost overcome the recession, there were created the basic conditions for entering the growth trajectory,” Vladimir Putin ыфшв during a meeting with representatives of the international investment community.

“The economy has adapted to the new environment and gained a competitive advantage as a result of the introduction of the national currency flexible exchange rate,” said the Russian president.

In late May, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev visited Crimea and spoke with local residents about pensions. In response to a request from an elderly local to raise payments, the Russian Prime Minister said that there was no money in the budget.

The Russian Prime Minister also said that raising the pension in one region is impossible.
