Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) has signed a number of contracts worth over $30 mln for 2017 in Pakistan, Director General Fyodar Damatsenka said on Tuesday.
“We have prepared contracts to the tune of more than $30 million for 2017,” state-run news agency BelTA quotes Damatsenka.
MTZ’ representative office is to open in Pakistan, the director added. According to him, from November 1 on, the company’s employee will be staying in Pakistan on a permanent basis.
Over the past 10 years, Pakistani Shakhzad Riaz perchased 37,000 Belarusian tractors. The businessman used to sell spare parts for the Belarusian agricultural equipment and later became a distributor of Belarusian tractors in his country.
