Last season, the players of Dynama repeatedly delayed the start of matches to draw attention to the financial problems of the team. The best players have left Dynama, including all the legionnaires.
This year the club was unable to hold a full-fledged preparation for the season and was admitted to the national championship only under the guarantee of the regional executive committee. The authorities of the Brest region promised to repay all debts of Dynama but never kept the word. For several months, players and employees of the Dynama have not been paid the so-called budget part of their earnings – 2 million rubles.
Despite the leaky budget, actually playing for free, the team reached the semi-finals of the Belarus Cup, won in the championship the prosperous Minsk Dynama and Salihorsk Shakhtsior.
Fans of the Dynama had to go through a police wagon, and the players were searched by special police before entering the field.
This year, fans have purchased the uniform for the team, triggering interest on the part of prosecutors, who saw in the actions of fans a violation of the law.
Note that at the beginning of the season, fans of Dynama ignored the home games of the team because of the abject and dehumanizing procedure of passing to the stadium through a police wagon.
During the recent match against the Salihorsk Shakhtsior, which the Brest residents won with a score of 3:2, the riot police searched all the players before they entered the stadium.
“I do not know what will happen to our team, I do not know if I will stay at the club, but the fact remains that a few major players will leave the team,” said after the game head coach of the Brest residents Syarhei Kavalchuk.
The only chance to delay the bankruptcy of the team is to sell the club’s office. The auction will be held on July 8. According to the expert who wished to remain anonymous the building could cost $870 thousand. “Even if it will sell, the bankruptcy of the Brest Dynamo will be delayed for several months. They have a debt of 10-12 billion rubles.”
