Belarusians in space


On April 12, 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first person on Earth, who made an orbital flight around our planet. Thus, the Day of Astronautics has been celebrated since 1962. Belarusians also flew into space.

Semen Kosberg, a native of Slutsk, also helpd humanity to conquer space. He developed the fuel, which made it possible to develop a second space velocity. There was also Barys Kit, who worked on the development of fuel for the American spacecraft “Apollo” and “Shuttle”.
