Belarusian exports fell by nearly $5 billion in six months


While export and import of Belarus are falling, the negative balance of foreign trade is growing.

National Statistical Committee has published a report about the balance of foreign trade in January-June 2015. According to it, the Belarusian exports fell by nearly $5 billion, compared with the first half of last year, from $18,68 billion to $13,77 billion. Imports also decreased, but the trade balance is negative. It is about – $1.09 billion (about -$1.05 billion in the first half of last year).

In January-June trade balance with Russia was $3.56 billion (-$ 3.51 billion in January-June 2014). The trade balance with EU countries is positive, it was about $2.04 billion ($1.43 billion), but regarding the EU countries, both imports and exports decreased.
