Head of Belsat elected to Journalists Association’s Board of Directors


Ms. Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, the director of Belsat TV, was elected as a new member to the board of Polish Association of Journalists (PAJ).

The new president of the PAJ is Mr. Krzysztof Skowronski, who replaced a TV journalist Ms. Krystyna Mokrosinka. Belsat’s director was elected by votes of 56 journalists, more than a half of those voting. The board has 12 members.

The Association was created in 1951. In 1956 PAJ attempted to support democratic changes in Poland, in early 80s it worked with the “Solidarity”. It was dissolved by the authorities after the martial law was introduced. Today, the association supports journalists and guards freedom of speech.
