46K Russians lose driving licenses over debts

It was reported by TASS with reference to the Russian Federal Service of Court Bailiffs. The new way to “knock out” the debts has been in Russia since 15 January.

The agency representatives believe that around 200,000 Russians with alimony debts or unrecovered damages for the offense could have lost a license.

About 168,000 people received a letter stating that to them may be applied the measures of temporary restrictions of the right to drive the car.

Since January 15, the bailiffs have sought about $ 3.3 million. Deprivation and restriction of the right to drive the car may become one of the most popular methods for “knocking out” of debts after the temporary restrictions on the right to travel abroad (in 2015, bailifs carried more than 1.5 million decisions to restrict this right).
