Bandarenka, a dissident sentenced to two years in a prison camp for taking part in the Decmber 19th opposition demonstration, who underwent a complicated spine surgery three weeks ago, is now returning to prison. His rehabilitation is to continue in prison.
The dissident’s wife, Volha Bandarenka, told Charter97 website, that her husband needs professional care and rehabilitation. She was not concoled by the prison administration statements on providing proper care in detention. Zmitser’s doctor informed her that any neglections within next six months can lead to a permanent disability.
Bandarenka has already served one third of his sentence. Yesterday he sent a letter to the head of Minsk prison, asking for mitigation of his punishment.
