Canada's PM puts own fans in place: 'Journalists ask tough questions as they're supposed to'

The Liberal leader Justin Trudeau did not let his supporters to shout down a journalist who asked a pointed question.

“Hey! Hey! In this country we have respect for journalists! They ask tough questions, as they’re supposed to, okay?” the new Canadian Prime Minister interfered when a crowd of his supporters reacted with displeasure to the reporter’s words.

The journalist was asking why the Liberals had initially stood by Trudeau’s advisor Dan Gagnier after revelations that he had given advice to an oil pipeline company on how to lobby a new government, insisting he hadn’t broken any ethical standards, nationalpost.com reports.
