A romantic dinner may end in three years of prison for client.
Homiel city department of the Investigative Committee has completed the investigation of the criminal case about the 25-year-old resident of Homiel beating two cafe workers.
According to the Investigative Committee, two months ago, the couple had dinner in one of the Homiel cafes, ordering food and drinks for 400 thousand rubles. When it was time to pay, visitors ignored the payment request and left.
The manager and the waitress came running after them catching up with them around the corner of the adjacent building. In response to demands to pay the bill the man began to beat the manager and waitress. The drunk hooligan was stopped by three cafe visitors who came to women’s rescue. They held the man until the police arrived.
At the hospital, the manager was diagnosed with a concussion and multiple contusions of soft tissues, the waitress had a broken thumb.
The accused man’s actions fall under the part 2 of the Art. 339 of the Criminal Code (intentional actions grossly violating public order and showing clear disrespect for society, accompanied by violence causing less serious bodily harm). Now he faces as many as three years in prison.
It turned out that the man had been twice prosecuted for hooliganism and more than 30 times – for travelling without a ticket.
