Ukraine prints bank notes depicting Hitler - Russian TV channel

State-run TV channel ‘Rossiya 1’  states that a new sample of the Ukrainian currency has an image of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

According to the TV journalists, Ukrainian party ‘Svoboda’ headed by Oleg Tyahnibok has developed a layout of 1000-hryvnia bank note that ‘reflects the new Ukrainian elite’s values’. The alleged sample was shown to the channel’s viewers.

Pro-Ukrainian Internet users could not help mocking at the news item.

“Bank notes featuring [Nazists] Borman, Goering, Mueller, [Soviet spy] Stierlitz and [U.S.] Preident Obama should have been developed. These people could believe any lie.”

“I have got my salary today, there has been such a note.”

“And our 500-hryvnia bill does depict Putin! This might have hurt their feelings!”

Watch from 19:46 (in Russian):

It is not the first time that Russian TV channels have lied about the events in Ukraine. For example, in November, 2014 еhe news story televised by Russian Channel One claimed that that every Ukrainian soldier would be awarded with ‘a piece of land and two slaves’.
