Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that Belarus had made a new proposal to Russia regarding the issue of gas debt.
“Negotiations with Belarus are ongoing. Our colleagues come up with all sorts of suggestions, we study them carefully,” he said.
According to the vice-premier, the last proposal of the Belarusian side came “just two years ago.”
“We will definitely respond, but there is currently no decision,” said Deputy Prime Minister. According to Dvorkovich, the gas discount for Belarus is not being considered.
“We do not understand why we have to give a discount,” noted the official.
Dvorkovich repeated Putin’s words about the recession in Russia saying that it was “actually over” and the financial situation was stable.
