Putin to Poroshenko: 'It will take us only 2 days to invade Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Warsaw'


Vladimir Putin stated he might bring troops into Warsaw, Vilnius and other cities of the EU, German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung reports referring to the bloc’s foreign service.

According to the service’s record of Jose Manuel Barroso‘s visit to Kyiv, Petro Poroshenko reported Mr Putin’s words to the European Commission President.  

“If once I said a word our troops would seize not only Kyiv, but also Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn, Warsaw and Bucharest for two days,” Putin allegedlt told Poroshenko.

Moreover, according to Süddeutsche Zeitung, Putin recommended Poroshenko ‘not to put his faith in the EU’ because he could press all levers and ‘block adopting a decision’ at the European Council.
