On Saturday Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka pardoned ex-presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich and other political prisoners.
“25-30 persons are welcoming Yauhen Vaskovich. He seems to be optimistic and is looking good as well. He smiled a lot talking about today’s event and answering questions about what he is going to do and where he is going to work,” a Belsat journalist reported from Babruysk.
