95 children have become Young Pioneers today. Today the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization is celebrating its 95th anniversary.
More than 600 people participated in the ceremony. 500 young leaders of the pioneering teams from all cities in the country were present in State Flag Square in Minsk, state-run agency BelTA says.
A basket with 95 flowers was placed at the obelisk ‘Minsk Hero City’.
The newly-baked pioneers were charged with their first order – to plant seven trees in the Central Botanical Garden.
The Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization is Belarus’ successor of the USSR pioneer movement. It includes half a million children and adolescents. There are almost 4,000 pioneer teams in Belarus.
