Over 1K foreigners enter Belarus without visa


The State Border Committee has made public information on the number of foreigners who took the opportunity to visit our country without a visa.

According to Anton Bychkouski, State Border Committee spokesman, since the launch of the visa-free regime,the National Airport “Minsk” became the entry point for 1,108 foreigners from 46 countries.

Some are still skeptical about the abolition of visas for Belarus.

Majority of the tourists were Germans (176 persons), the Poles (163) and Italians (112).

The five-day visa-free regime for citizens of 80 countries came into force on 12 February. It is available for citizens of 39 European countries, including the entire European Union, as well as Brazil, Indonesia, the US, Japan and other countries.
