Mexican wife kept husband at home. His friends went to Russia with his cardboard figure

Javier from Mexico was planning to go to the World Cup in Russia to support his team. Together with friends, he already went to the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil — then they promised each other to meet again and go to the next championship. Esquire reports that this year Javier’s wife did not let him go, so his friends had to make him out of cardboard.
Mexican fans sent across the ocean a bus, which they used to drive across Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and the Baltic countries, they also visited St. Petersburg.
