According to the survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), which was attended by 1.2 thousand respondents, the leaders of Belarus and Kazakhstan Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Nursultan Nazarbayev are at the top of the Russian rating of most trusted leaders of the CIS states.
Lukashenka inspires confidence in 62% of Russians, and Nazarbayev — in 56%.
According to the study, the Russians consider Belarus and Kazakhstan to be the most stable and successful CIS countries. Belarus was received this title by 60% of the respondents, Kazakhstan — by 41%.
In addition, the Russians called Belarus (64%) and Kazakhstan (57%) the main partners of their country in the international arena.
According to the criterion of ensuring the rights of Russian-speaking population, Belarus (66% compared to 27% in 2010) and Kazakhstan (38% compared to 18% in 2013) once again occupied the top places in the list of CIS countries.
Ukraine became the ‘outsider’ of all the rating of Russian researchers.
