'Lots of mushrooms and tanks': Russian pilot publishes photos of Barysau forest

LJ user samoletchik has recently taken photos of the forest near the town of Barysau, where the Zapad-2017 military game is in progress now.

“I picked mushrooms near Barysau and took pictures of camouflaged military vehicles hidden in the forest as part of the exercise Zapad-2017. There are lots and lotas of mushrooms in the forest; even the presence of allied troops does not have any impact on their number,” he said in a Livejournal post.

According to his LJ profile, the man is a pilot, but he does not specify whether he is participating in the drills.

As reported earlier, ads warning against entering the training ground ‘Barysauski’   appeared at bus stops in Barysau.

In early September, Russian soldiers detained human rights activist and Belarusian citizen Natallya Haryachka not far from the training ground. The activist who was taken to the police had to spend 3 days in jail.

The joint Russian-Belarusian military drills kicked off on September, 14. According to the organizers, nearly 13,000 troops are involved in the war game as well as 40 aviation equipment pieces, 140 tanks, 150 mortars and multiple rocket launchers and 10 ships.
