Loss-making enterprises: one in three industrial and one in five construction ones

In the period from January to July this year, Belarus registered 1,589 loss-making companies. A year ago, the figure was 1,139. In agriculture, in the first seven months of the year, there were 14.6% of the loss-making organizations (in the first seven months of last year – 7,1%); in the industry – 31.1% , companies (26.2%)%; in construction – 20.8% (8.7%); transport – 18.5% (13.6%).

At the same time there has been a significant reduction in the number of unprofitable enterprises in fisheries and aquaculture – 40% instead of 70% in the first seven months of the year.
