The Kazakh authorities intend to put quotations of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on national passports. This proposal has been included in a draft bill to amend the law ‘On the documents that identify a person’.
“The purpose of the bill is to introduce basic norms and values of the nationwide patriotic idea Mәngilik El [Eternal], MP Rakhmet Mukashev said during the plenary session of the Kazakh parliament, tengrinews.kz reports.
The document provides for adding to Kazakh passports the words of the ‘First President, Leader of the Nation’ Nursultan Nazarbayev about independence, as well as the obligation of the oath, which every citizen of Kazakhstan should give to obtain the identity document.
The bill is to be considered by the lower house of Kazakhstan’s parliament – the Majilis.
