It is the employees of Salihorsk-based JSC Belaruskali who got the highest salaries in Belarus over the past year. In November 2016, average salary in Salihorsk amounted to BYN 1049.3 ($530).
The Belarusian capital is ranked second in pay level. The average monthly salary of Minsk residents is BYN 1008.2 ($514). The city of Navapolatsk holds the third place in the ranking ($414).
The situation in regional cebtres is as follows: average salary in is BYN 717.5 ($366), in Brest – BYN 705.6 ($360), in Homiel – BYN 683.5 ($348), Vitsebsk BYN 664.1 ($339).
The gravest situation in Sharkaushchyna, where the average monthly salary is only 433 ($221). For many years Sharkaushchyna district has been at the bottom of the list of the poorest regions of Belarus.
