FC BATE Borisov – in UEFA Champions League!


It is the fifth time FC BATE Borisov has secured their place in UEFA Champions League group stage.

On August 26, the Belarusian team defeated to Partizan (1:2) in a play-off. The first meeting of rivals in Barysau ended in BATE’s victory – 1:0. Alyaksandr Yermakovich’s team managed to overcome the last qualifying round due to an away goal.

BATE played in the main round of the Champions League in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. In the current qualification Belarusian club defeated Irish FC Dundalk (2:1 at home, 0:0 away), Hungarian FC Videoton (1:1 away, 1:0 at home) and Partizan.

The UEFA Champions League group stage draw is due to take place in Monaco on August, 27.
