Donetsk: Man in Belarus police uniform fought for pro-Russian separatists

A uniformed separatist – allegedly a police officer from Belarus – has been killed near Donetsk Airport, Patriots’ Community (Згуртаванне Патрыётаў) reports.

“Near the village of Piski not far from Donetsk Airport guys from Pravy Sector [the Right Sector] took a trophy – a Belarusian police uniform jacket. Unfortunately, the owner of the jacket will not be able to give his explanations on what happened because he has already gone to the Kingdom. He had no papers on him. One might assume that that the jacket did hold value for his owner, because he could not part with it even in the combat zone although separatists have enough ordinary camouflage clothes.

These are realities of the Russian world. They differ from chasing students and intelelctuals along avenues with a baton [in Belarus]. Here you can catch something with a caliber of 5.45 or more,” they say.

The participation of Belarusians in the hostilities in Ukraine on any side of the conflict is criminally liable, Chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus Valery Vakulchyk said in October, 2014. But a number of our nationals are taking part in the undeclared war.
