Children’s Day in Hrodna: Toy parade and selfie in riot police helmet

The participants of the Children’s Day celebrations marched through the city centre and settled down in Gilibert Park.

‘The Childhood Planet ‘ – a procession of parents with prams and kids with small cars, umbrellas, balloons – turned out to be the icing on the cake of the official holiday.

Sometimes the procession was a funny sight as it had the elements of the Victory Day parade and the children looked tired. However, the city authorities have hardly held any event of this kind before.

At the park the marchers stood the opportunity to have fun at the playgrounds, know more about folk crafts and take family photos in specially police cars.
