Brazilian festival 'Vulica Brasil' takes over Minsk

For three weeks artists from Brazil were making the Kastrychnitskaya street in Minsk even more incredible, and on Saturday thousands of Minskers came to the open-air festival.

The closing ceremony of the ‘Vulica Brasil’ festival was ruined by the regular cloudy Belarusian weather and the city authorities who simply banned people with dogs and cyclists from the festival streets. This came as a big surprise for the citizens. The weather was not much nicer either — while authorities can still change, there will not be more sunny days in the country.

Another problem of the festival is a small amount of toilets. It was well known in advance that ‘Vulica Brasil’ festival will be attended by about 10 thousand people, but there were just a few toilets. It means that the Belarusian Carnival is made of queues.

The rest was great. People, food, music and a lot of colors: from painted trams and dances in colorful clothes to graffiti and treats.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”287208″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]At the festival, Lenin’s bust coexisted with color graffiti[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”287212″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]The festival was colorful[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”287192″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Colors and Belarusian melancholy[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”287228″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]What kind of festival is it without riot police?[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”287188″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Brazilian motifs in the Belarusian capital[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]All photos:
