Belsat-produced film awarded diploma at Moldova Film Festival

The film about the life in the KGB prison “American jail. All included” was shown to the Moldovan audience.

Eventually, festival jury wrote the following about the work of director Viktar Korzun:

The film features “successful symbiosis of expression modes, such as animation, documentary footage and poetry.”

The film “American jail. All included” was released in 2014. It tells a story about life in the KGB prison of the known journalist and writer Alyaksandr Fyaduta who after the 2010 presidential elections spent 110 days there and described it in his book. The idea of the film is to present the disappointing reality of the literature using language, changing the genre from drama to comedy. Then a state terrible machine gets represented in the ironic colors, it becomes funny, turns into a caricature of itself. In the film Fyaduta is shown in the “American jail”, but not in the real one, in the painted one.
