Trial of Belsat cameraman Alyaksandr Lyubyanchuk postponed

The trial started today at 11:30.

(UPD) The judge has deferred the hearing to April 20 as some witnesses failed to appear. The policemen were expected to give evidence against Lyubyanchuk.

Minsk offices of “Belsat” were searched on March 31th. Alyaksandr Lyubyanchuk was in one of the offices the police broke into. He was taken to the local police department, where a protocol was drawn against him over alleged swearing (disorderly conduct, Article 17.1 of the Administrative Code).

“I tried to look into the eyes of the police staff, after a while they turned their eyes away, they could not stand my gaze. Some of them said, “You know, we were given an order we are to fulfill, we are responsible for it,” Of course, they know what they are doing,” said Alyaksandr Lyubyanchuk about the search.
