Belarusian lured in Volgograd region and killed for $3K


Resident of Belarus went to Russia to buy a car, the trip ended in tragedy.

In the city of Kamyshin in the Volgograd region, he was killed with a sledgehammer. The murderer was a 29-year-old local resident, who posted a car sale ad on the Internet.

The car belonged to attacker’s friend, and the vehicle owner did not even know about the ad.

On February 7, 2016 Belarusian personally went to Kamyshin to make a deal. The seller and the buyer met in a garage, which the attacker rented for car repair.

Knowing that the buyer was in possession of a large sum of money (around 200 thousand Russian rubles or $3,150), a resident of Kamyshin struck him with a sledgehammer several times on the head, stole the money, he then took the dead man’s body away in one of its clients’ cars and hid it on the territory of the abandoned cemetery.

Russian law enforcers opened a criminal case under article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Fraud), Article 162 (Robbery committed with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim) and Article 105 (Murder, combined with the robbery).

During the investigation, the defendant fully admitted his guilt.
