Report, a new talk show, will premiere on Saturday, October 14 at 21:15 on Belsat TV.
The talk show hosted by Eduard Melnikau will be released twice a month, every episode will last 40-45 minutes.
The theme of the first episode is Belarus’ defense policy in the context of the recent Belarusian-Russian military exercise Zapad-2017, the current state of the Belarusian army and its public image.
“Basic journalistic features which were present at Forum [previous talk show], i.e. an acute issues, research into the issue, competent visiting experts, remain. I think that nowadays viewers have a need for not only exclusive information but also for the possibility of intellectual and emotional interpretation. Therefore, Report will be based on the development of Belarus’ topical issues in the figurative and emotional form, which would explain not only the factual basis, but also its human aspect,” Eduard Melnikau told belsat.eu.
“Secondly, Report will be more promoted in social media, since these days even conventional TV is moving to the Internet. Extracts of Report will be posted online,” he said.
According to Eduard Melnikau, the authors and creators take BBC shows and films as model.
