Based on the 2016 stats, buses of the Minsk Automobile Plant entered the top three of the best-selling buses in the Russian market.
By the end of the year, the Belarusian manufacturer expects to consolidate its position and come into new regions, says the plant webpage.
Last year, Minsk Automobile Plant sold 825 buses in Russia, increasing sales by more than half (53%). As a result, according to the agency “AUTOSTAT”, Belarusian producer came in third place in the ranking of the most popular manufacturers of buses. The first two positions are occupied by Russian PAZ and LIAZ.
The biggest interest to the MAZ buses is exhibited by large cities that are preparing for large-scale events. For example, the Minsk Automobile Plant has developed a bus to transport guests during the 2018 World Cup (to be held in Russia), the first units are now being tested in Moscow.
