Opposition politician summoned to court over participation in protest action


[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”24356″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row]Anatol Lyabedzka, the chairman of the United Civil Party, was summoned by Tsentralny district court of Minsk. He will be tried for holding the action ‘The National Flag’s March’.

“Who said that the election campaign was over? It is the aftermath of the events of October, 10 [a protest action],”Anatol Lyabedzka said on Facebook and posted a photo of the summons.

The action took place on the eve of the presidential election -2015. On October 10, the participants of the ‘The National Flag’s March’ gathered for a brief rally at Freedom Square in Minsk. Then they marched to Yakub Kolas Square.

On October 9, Anatol Lyabedzka was Br 9mln fined for taking part in the action “For a Peaceful and Neutral Belarus’, which was held on October, 4 in Minsk.
