Lithuanian customs officers stop shipment for Belavia


Lithuania has stopped the export of goods intended for the Belarusian airline Belavia. It happened due to sanctions imposed by the European Union, including those against the airline, the Customs Service of Lithuania reports.

The goods were returned to the sender — Embraer Aviation France.

The French equipment worth about 154 thousand euros was intended for servicing Belavia civil aircraft.

The decision not to file an export declaration was taken without consulting the company. The agreement was to end on June 25 this year. Under the following contracts, exporting goods to the companies included in the EU sanctions packages is prohibited.
