Information about failures in the cooling system of the BelNPP unit 1 reactor has been refuted in the official Telegram Channel of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus. The agency responded that it “does not correspond to reality”.
“The system is functioning normally. Maintenance work and tests are still underway at unit 1 as part of the pilot operation phase. The radiation background around the plant is normal,” the statement reads.
The other night, some telegraph channels began to report about an accident and failure of cooling system of the reactor at the BelNPP.
However, measurements of gamma radiation dose rate near Astravets show that the radiation background in the area of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is stable and does not exceed the norm.
