Lukashenka approves draft agreement on customs legislation of Russia and Belarus


On March 3, Lukashenka signed a decree approving an agreement with Russia on harmonizing customs legislation.

The self-proclaimed head approved the draft treaty with Russia on harmonizing customs legislation of Belarus, Alyaksandr Lukashenka. He signed a corresponding decree.

“The draft agreement stipulates the areas of cooperation between customs authorities of the two countries (information interaction, joint customs control, categorization of persons performing customs operations), the establishment of an interstate center within the customs committee of the Union State to coordinate risk management and implementation of analytical functions and monitoring of customs operations.

The State Customs Committee of Belarus will start negotiations around this project, and if the parties agree on it, it will sign the document.
