Volha Takarchuk

On December 20, Zavodski district court of Minsk passed a guilty verdict in the case of Minsk-based blogger Volha Takarchuk, the human rights centre Viasna reports.

Political prisoner Volha Takarchuk’s being in custody has been extended for one more month. She is being held in remand prison Nr 8 in the town of Zhodzina.

On June 9, the Zhodzina prison authorities refused to accept a food parcel for jailed vlogger Volha Takarchuk; she turned out to have been placed in solitary confinement until June 14, her father Andrey Takarchuk told RFE/RL.
