A woman from Hrodna travels to the Białystok region and visits places related to her ancestors. Axana Prus was born and grew up in Hrodna, where she obtained the proper education and became a choreographer, for many years she worked as a dance teacher. She had an abundance of work and she did not think about emigration. However, in her mind, she often moved to Podlachia.

Ostarbeiter Women
The protagonists of the film are “Ostarbeiter women”, women deported from occupied Belarus to Germany to perform forced labor during World War II. There were over 200,000 of them, and only a few hundred are still alive today. The protagonists of the film are between 83 and 99 years old and most of them have never shared their personal stories in public.

The documentary will tell us who was the people who perished during the protests in Belarus. Alyaksandr Taraykouski. He was killed with a shot to the chest. Kanstantsin Shyshmakou. He was found hanged. Mikita Kryutsou. He was also found hanged. No investigations were launched in any of these cases.
