Since August 9, the journalistic community of Belarus has been experiencing an unprecedented level of pressure and repression from the state. Seven journalists remain behind bars at the time of publication.

There have been 90 cases of persecution of media workers over the past two weeks in Belarus; the sad record includes the significant number of Belsat journalists who found themselves in the crosshairs.

The journalist is now looking for female inmates who may also have been harmed by the woman who beat up the girls.
